Introduction

Launched in 2005, Celebrate Pasifika is a programme of events that grew out of the popularity of the annual Pasifika Festival - which still runs as the highlight of the wider programme, and responds to the growing demand for the opportunity to celebrate and foster New Zealand's exceptional pacific talents.

Celebrate Pasifika encompasses a wide range of events and activities across varied disciplines. The programme includes film, performing arts, concerts, sculpture, sport, children's activities and workshops and seeks to engage with Aucklanders and visitors to Auckland of all backgrounds and interests in both the traditional and the contemporary.

Located in Auckland, as the home to the world's largest pacific population and largest pacific festival, Celebrate Pasifika has grown from strength to strength since its small beginnings thanks to the support of it's sponsors, who share in our vision of growing Celebrate Pasifika into the future.
